Pole Star’s
Fleet Management system is a sophisticated
web-based tracking and monitoring
application designed for commercial managers
of fleets of deep-sea vessels.
Used by ship
owners, managers and charterers, it provides
the accurate and up-to-date information they
need to monitor and manage their fleets in

ETA
adjustments, fuel savings and off-hire
calculations are some of the benefits of
Fleet Management that help to improve voyage
management.

Hardware options
FM1:
Pole Star’s FM1 Inmarsat D+ unit provides
the superior reliability expected of a
dedicated transceiver. This stand-alone
tracking unit is recommended for when
existing onboard equipment is either
incompatible with Fleet Management or falls
below required performance standards. Click
here to download the specs of FM1.
Third party
equipment: Fleet Management supports
compatible Inmarsat C equipment already
installed onboard a vessel. A free trial is
available for compatible transceivers.
Interactive Fleet Map
The Fleet map
provides a range of interactive features
that enable the user to view the fleet’s
current position and voyage history. It also
provides access to global weather
forecasting and meteorological information.
Pole Star's
range of marine fleet management and
security solutions business has
progressively grown since 1998 to include
over 500 shipping companies and associated
organisations operating in excess of 10,000
vessels. Core to this success has been the
Purplefinder web application - a secure,
reliable and cost effective system.
PurpleFinder
is now being incorporated into
business-to-business solutions to enable
global, real-time monitoring and
exception-based reporting of such parameters
as equipment vibration, and geo-verification
of OWS, Ballast and NOx/SOx operations.
